Pelee Island Shiraz – 2011   The first sip began with the fruity taste of sweet plum with a surprisingly mischievous, peppery kick and a dangerously comfortable finish. We enjoyed this Shiraz with a homemade, wonderfully garlicy roast, potatoes and roasted vegetables.   Pair it with: A Flapper Murder at the 1920′s Speakeasy. This little Shiraz is sweet and spicy, just like the Flappers of the 20′s! It pairs well with the devilishly foxy atmosphere of a Roaring 1920′s...

Generation Seven Red – 2009 VQA Niagra-On-The-Lake The story of Generation Seven wines and The Bosc Family is truly special. Xanadu Next Of Kin Shiraz – 2009 Australia At the first sip of Next of Kin shiraz, the taster is met with a spicey flavour, which ebbs slightly to reveal a distinct hint of cherries as surprising as a last-minute heir at the reading of a will. Pair it with: The Getty Affair. The victim Samson Getty’s deceptive family, his controversial will and his stash of uncut diamonds casts a shadow of suspicion on this man’s Next of Kin. Like Xanadu’s shiraz, The Getty Affair provides...

Misterio Malbec Wine Review

Misterio Malbec – 2010 Mendoza, Argentina The first sip is a tangy shock, but it finishes nicely with fruity essences and a smoky aftertaste. Like any good mystery, this wine delivers a multi-layered sip, and lingers long after the final swallow. Pair it with: The multi-tiered plot of The Masquerade Murder, where the suspects are also not as they originally seem! Add it to your mystery dinner menu or give your mingling guests a glass to sip as they investigate. Give me more murder mystery...
