Shot In The Dark Mysteries was established in 2006 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada in order to fill a gap in the murder mystery games industry. As of that point, the industry was wrought with impersonal companies offering instant downloads with little or no support and run-of-the-mill game themes. Shot In The Dark Mysteries was created to offer a murder alternative for kids games and adult parties alike, offering unique murder mystery party themes never before seen in the murder mystery party industry – AND offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee to boot. It was a bold move, but owner and game creator Leigh Clements-Lynam, has proven that someone who plots murder for a living CAN be trusted.

Now headquartered in Toronto, Ontario with an office in Barrie, Ontario, Shot In The Dark Mysteries is proud to have served such companies as Petro Canada and Chrysler Egypt, and been entrusted with numerous Saturday night parties, countless sweet sixteen celebrations, a number of anniversaries and even a fundraiser or two. Since its launch in 2006, the face of Shot In The Dark Mysteries has changed drastically, including two redesigns and the launch of new programs such as mini-mysteries and the tree planting program.

Leigh Clements-Lynam is a serial entrepreneur, former journalist, published fiction author and critiquer. She was working at a major Canadian newspaper when she stumbled across the chance to write murder mystery games, and thought it could be fun. She never guessed at the time that she would turn her back on her original career path and start her own mystery games company just two years later. Clements-Lynam currently lives in Barrie, Ontario with her husband, 15-month-old son and three-year-old golden lab.
