Murder Mystery Speed Dating Makes Debut in Toronto to Benefit Neuroblastoma Research

Toronto, ON — Toronto-based Shot In The Dark Mysteries has launched a new brand of speed dating in our city, making speed dating fun again!

Shot In The Dark Mysteries presents Murder Mystery Speed Dating, a fun, interactive way to meet other singles in a relaxed environment. “It’s a great way to meet people,” says the Shot In The Dark Mysteries Mystery Maiden, Leigh Clements. “Often singles shy away from these types of events because they are so repetitive. Most people think if you’ve been to one, you have been to them all. If they haven’t had success with their dates before, they get discouraged. Murder mystery speed dating spices up the typical speed dating event with a bit of fun for everyone, so even if you don’t match, you’ve still had a great time piecing together the mystery during your dates.”

Each murder mystery speed dating participant receives a clue to solve the murder. During their 5-minute dates, they gather clues from other daters and piece together the identity of the killer.

“It really takes the pressure off,” says Clements. “Usually, if someone doesn’t instantly connect with their ‘date’, they are stuck in awkward conversation with them for the length of the date. With murder mystery speed dating, if the daters don’t connect, they can spend their 5 minutes focusing on the mystery clues. If they do, they can exchange clues and spend the rest of the time getting to know their date.”

A raffle will also take place to benefit Neuroblastoma Research. Prizes for the raffle are still being accepted.

Shot In The Dark Mysteries inaugural event on April 27th, 2010 at Fuzion Resto-lounge on Church Street and is for gay men, ages 25-35. The first co-ed event will take place in May.
