In the real world, you were in banking. You liked walking your dog along the river and watching Seinfeld with your fiancé before bed. When you felt down, you would remember the happiest time in you life: vacation in Mexico, floating in a pool, soaking up the sun and drinking from coconuts. Now, on this island that civilization forgot, every time you see a coconut you wan to beat yourself to death with it. Rain comes on with no warning. You used to love the rain – now you hardly notice it. Green can only get so green and the ocean can only look so beautiful before you miss the little things like car horns honking in the night.
After a terrible plane crash, Brianne Cain, Vaughan Mead, Mark Tobler, Samir Youseff, Lorrie Du Pris, Finn Hockney, and Eva O’Brien find that they are not alone on the remote island on which they’ve crashed. Together, they live in harmony with those who were on the island when the plane crashed, all working together to try to get off the island and back to society – at least, that’s how it seems. When Simon Soldienta, the island’s longest-standing resident, is found murdered in the jungle, everyone seems to have a reason to kill him. The plot continues to twist as the survivors discover each others terrible secrets until the out-of-this-world climax. What is the secret behind the island’s seemingly magic ability to heal? Who brought them to the island, why, and HOW? All secrets will be revealed as the marooned survivors try to figure out who killed Simon Soldienta and why.
