how do I play a mystery game?
Good question! Often people shy away from hosting a mystery party because they aren't sure if they can do it. Never fear - it's super easy. When you purchase a Shot In The Dark mystery game you are led, step-by-step, through administering the game. Your Game Package (an automatic download) includes pre-party instructions as well as directions throughout the game. If, after reading the instructions you still have questions, we are always here to help you - simply send an email to mysterymaiden@shotinthedarkmysteries.com (please allow us 48 hours to reply).

Step One: Purchase your game, download your game PDF files and open. You will need Adobe Acrobat reader, which you can download for free here. |

Step Two: Print your game files. Make sure you have lots of printer paper. The more characters involved in a mystery the longer the game will take to play and the more pages you will need to print. We try, whenever possible, to save trees (not to mention your printer ink!). The page count is listed in the introduction of your Game Package. |

We have created thrilling, humorous games for your party pleasure, but the rest is up to you. Decoration and costume suggestions are provided whenever possible. You can put as much or as little effort into your party as you like, but the more imagination you and your guests incorporate, the better the game will be. |
