As I was booking up my summer for custom mystery games in the spring, I realized that bachelorette party mysteries are something I look forward to every year. I get to be a part of creating a magical evening for a bride-to-be, get swept up in the excitement and work in all the intimate details of the bride, guests and sometimes even the groom!

But each year I’m left wondering… when did a bachelorette party become the time to get your whore on? There are a lot of raunchy bachelorette themes out there (not to mention favours, dolls, games…). Sometimes the thought of skanky bachelorette mayhem can have a classy bride fearing the event all together, or worse, not wanting a hen night in the first place.

On the other hand, we don’t want our bachelorette parties – the last night of fun we’ll have until we “love, honour and obey” *shudder* to be some dignified tea party.

Most of the time it’s the unfortunate hypothetical stripper who ends up dead, but some of the other victims have included a surly bridesmaid and the mother of the groom (every girl should get to live THAT fantasy if she’s dealing with a monster-in-law!).
